New Glass!

I have crossed the line between amateur and pro lenses (someday I hope to say that about myself). Tip-toeing around the decision to take the plunge, I finally purchased the Canon EF70-200mm F2.8L IS USM. Usually I am a bit skeptical about super expensive glass but not anymore. Having rented one of these beauties for a recent wedding I knew it was a necessary investment for a photographer’s career. Now, I just need to work on my forearms because this lens has some weight.

Mar and I were just about to go out and get some dinner when we ran into this beauty. I contemplated going back to get my camera, I’m glad I did. Only got a few shots off before the sky totally desaturated. By the way, love this new lens!

This shot was taken later in the day, hence a bit of noise, but it’s a still frame from some video I shot of a lightening storm.
